Festival of Ice

White snow falls from the sky saying it's time for Winter. Temperature turns colder and colder until river becomes freeze. It's the peak days of Fishing Town citizens to organize the fishing race - to catch the snow fishes, the symbolic of Winter. Its skin, body, and tale is pure white as snow, it actively swims fast even the water is freezing. Fishing race used to be the competition among citizens who lives in the East and West of the river, it's difficult to beat each other no matter 3 days and 3 nights pass, fishes swim like a rocket. This competition becomes wide until many fishermen want to try, they organize this competition as Festival of Ice annually to challenge the Fishermen.

Snow Festival

One fine day long time ago in winter, one fisherman headed to the Rikedom Sea to catch a fish. Unfortunately the huge heavy snowstorm hit, fisherman couldn't clearly see anything. He tried to hide under the giant tree - at that moment he was very cold and clothes cannot give him warm anymore. The snowstorm had no sign to slow down or stop. He saw the beautiful woman who handed him the hot soup cooked deliciously from the Sunshine fish. This type of fish can warm the body's temperature once you take a sip, even you are cold to death, you become alive.

He lost conscious because of the coldness, he hurriedly swallowed the soup until his body starts to warm and slowly fell asleep. His family and villagers were trying to find him, lost the hope that he was still alive. The snowstorm was slow down and they found him sleeping peacefully in beautiful icy dome next to the bonfire. Villagers said it was because of the amazing Goddess Nanami who always takes a good care of this Town and the citizens to be safe from the dangers.

Every winter on this day, citizens will celebrate to thank Goddess Nanami by building ice architecture and light up the fire at night. The most important item is hot soup made from Sunshine fish that can make you strong and add more capacity to catch a fish.
